Xiamen Intl MICE Week greets 1,500 experts

The 2019 Xiamen International MICE Week kicked off on Nov 11 in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province and will last for five days.


The event welcomed representatives from four major international MICE organizations and more than 1,500 experts in MICE industry from 29 countries and regions, including Russia, India, Germany, and Singapore.


The four major international MICE organizations are the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), Asian Federation of Exhibition & Convention Associations (AFECA), and Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE).


More than 20 forums and seminars are expected to be held during the five-day event.


In addition, ICCA will organize its Global Executive Conference in Xiamen during the MICE week, which is the first time for the conference to be held outside ICCA's headquarters Amsterdam.


ICCA's 11 senior managers will also investigate the business environment of MICE industry in Xiamen and communicate with local MICE companies.


David DuBois, chief executive officer of IAEE, will share his opinions on the development trend of global MICE industry under a reshaped economic landscape during the event.
